2. When do we collect personal information about you?
We only collect personal data from you when you give it to us directly, through the website or in store by agreeing to sign up to a Newsletter.
When you make a purchase through our online shop; www.thefatquarters.co.uk.
3. What personal information do we use?
We collect, store and process the following information in order to send out Newsletters; Name and Email address.
Additional contact details including address, telephone number if you opt to provide them; such as address, telephone number.
The Fat Quarters will collect information about your order (but not your financial information) when you make a purchase through our online store.
4. How do we use your personal information?
The Fat Quarters may use use your personal information to provide you with products that you have requested;
to provide newsletters, updates about our products or services, only where you have given consent to receive such information e.g.: explicitly subscribing to a newsletter.
To respond to a complaint, query, refund requests; handling the information allows us to respond to you. The legal basis on which we do this re: our contractual obligations to you, and legitimate reasons for providing you with the best service.
To protect our business against fraud and other illegal activities. For example checking a delivery address to prevent fraudulent transactions by third persons ( e.g. if someone uses your bank card).
The Fat Quarters will use your personal information to fulfil purchases you have made through the online store.

We will not sell, rent or disclose your personal information.
We take great care to ensure your personal information is kept private.
We use a third party provider to send out our class lists newsletter. When you agree to receive the Class Lists your email address and name is sent directly to MailChimp.
When you log in to the site we place a small piece of information, a cookie, on your machine. This is necessary so that we can track your shopping cart selections between pages and that we know you are logged in to thefatquarters.co.uk. None of your personal information is stored in this cookie and it is removed from your machine as soon as you logout of the site. You will need to have cookies enabled on your browser in order to use this site correctly.

The Fat Quarters will take all reasonable technical and organisational precaution to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
We restrict access to those who have a need to know and train staff in handling information securely.
The Fat Quarters stores information on secure servers.

You have the right to ask us what personal information we have stored.
Request we delete the information we hold as far as we are legally required to do so.
Ask that we correct any personal information you think is incorrect or inaccurate.
Please note that where you ask us to delete your personal information we will maintain your name and contact details to ensure we do not contact you inadvertently in the future.
