The Royal Mail Postage Charges have been increased in April 2016. The Fat Quarters have looked at the prices of a variety of Couriers and Royal Mail still are the most competitive in most cases.
As a result we have reviewed our charges and have DECREASED postage on ALL patterns and a number of smaller items such as needles, stamps etc to £1.
The most anyone will pay in the UK is £2.60.
Orders over £150 Postage is free (UK only).
From the moment a carrier attempts to deliver the goods they are the Customer's responsibility and the Customer has to accept the goods when they are ready to be delivered.
Returns and Refunds
Our policy is to take anything back where a customer is unhappy with the goods - within 7 days of delivery (or attempted delivery) and a full refund of the purchase price will be made within 30 days of the return subject to the following conditions being met:
- The cost of returning the product(s) will be the responsibility of the Customer.
- In all cases for your protection the goods must be adequately packed in the original packaging to prevent damage.
- Where the Customer has arranged transit the goods must be fully insured.
- The goods must be received by The Fat Quarters in perfect condition, unused and re-marketable.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT PATTERNS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. THIS IS TO PROTECT THE DESIGNERS FROM ANY BREACH OF COPYRIGHT.
Damaged Goods
If goods are delivered to you in a damaged condition we will replace the products free of charge, providing we are notified within 7 days of actual or attempted delivery. Our Customer Services department will be happy to arrange this.

Why you can feel secure shopping with us

Industry leading transaction security
All transaction information passed between our website and the Protx Payment System is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and all messages from Protx are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing passed to Protx can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Internationally recognised encryption and data storage
Once on the Protx system, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data they hold is extremely secure and they are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
Private network links to banks
Protx has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.
Employee access
No individuals within our company or Protx are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Their systems only allow access to our most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your card information is secure even from their own employees because the systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.
