About Us

Welcome! We are a patchwork and quilting supplies shop based in Blackhall Mill (about 5 miles outside of Newcastle). Originally established in August 2005 we provide a wide range of quilting and patchwork related goods and services.

We have been attracting enthusiastic quilters from most parts of the North East Region where this craft has a long history. For example, Beamish Museum has a very famous collection.

As well as selling supplies of fabrics, thread and accessories, The Fat Quarters also offer lessons, help and advice. In addition we sell speciality books, patterns and magazines.

Please feel to browse our website, where you will find a large number of products on offer all stocked at our shop.

Thankyou and Enjoy!

World Cup Winners

Hi

We either love it or hate it but it is here for a whole month.  I only watch the England games, so my viewing time may be cut rather short, but I take the opportunity to do a lot of sewing without any interruptions.  To ease the ‘pain’ The Fat Quarters is offering a 10% Promotion.

At the checkout enter the Promotional Code: MMWORLD1107

This offer is valid until July 11th 2010

Please note it cannot be used in conjunction with our Loyalty Point Scheme.
